A site visit and report is needed per device and per treatment room. Additional devices and rooms are assessed from £250 each, and any equipment you bring in after your initial visit also needs to be inspected and documented. This is valid for 12 months and is carried out yearly.

The certificate of LPA visit is valid for 12 months and is renewed with a yearly visit. All documentation and certificates are dated from the date of the initial inspection.

Local Rules are the document most councils require that sets out how lasers and IPL devices are used safely at your premises: the controlled area, responsibilities, procedures and protective measures, written for your devices and treatment rooms. The risk assessment identifies the hazards of your laser and IPL use and the controls in place, and must be carried out by a competent person under UK health and safety law.

Some councils require treatment protocols to be signed off by an Expert Medical Practitioner (EMP, sometimes called an ERHP). Where your council asks for this, we put you in contact with an EMP as part of the LPA visit.

Yes. We provide guidance on special treatment licence applications so that your documentation matches what your local authority expects, alongside advice on treatment rooms, devices and working practices.
